Marble must be restored, not replaced!

Since marble is a natural material, the shine of marble floors is essential to restore the stone through the marble’s grinding, grouting, sanding and polishing.

Properly maintain the marble floor because otherwise, the marble loses its beauty and shine; this often happens due to inadequate cleaning with different detergents or traffic, such as in shops or offices.

Once the marble floor loses its good looks, some people replace it—the most common customers who want to replace marble or similar floors with laminate or tile floors.

Often do so on the recommendation of remodelling companies, who, for some reason, want to avoid the option of renovating these floors, even though the prices/costs of grinding, smoothing and polishing of marble are much lower than the cost of replacement.

Restoring a marble or similar floor means bringing the marble floor back to life by restoring its natural beauty and shine through the grinding, smoothing and polishing of the marble.

The restoration process can only be done by companies specialized in this field of restoration and consists of specific work techniques for these materials and the use of special equipment for such work.

The marble restoration-polishing process includes the following stages:

  • Grinding for floor levelling with diamond steps.
  • Carry out the necessary repairs: filling holes, cracks and joints with a specific epoxy resin.
  • Floor Grinding to remove scratches using diamond steps.
  • Surface finishes with fine diamond grain to obtain a smooth and pore-free surface.
  • Mechanical “mirror” polishing.
  • Application of Premium Penetrating Sealer Lithofin Made in German.

To polish your stone floor in the best condition, we need the following:

  • Source of electricity;
  • Water – Stone polishing is damp to avoid the dispersion of dust.

Each marble or similar floor has its peculiarities.

Much depends on how installed the floor is; execution times vary if the floor needs to be levelled or resurfaced.

Also, times may vary if it is a single environment or if the area is tiny as to require the help of smaller supplementary machines to get where standard machinery usually does not reach. Surfaces such as bathrooms, showers, kitchens, and small foyers.
The type of stone naturally makes the difference too.

A professionally restored and polished marble will have the original appearance of when it was purchased, therefore, absolutely new, which means that the house acquires more value, plus the floor’s appearance will be more pleasant to look at and easier to maintain.
